Privacy Policy

Lovuli is run by Ninth Path Systems LLC (“we” or “us”). This policy explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and how you sign in (email, Apple or Google).
- Profile details you choose to share: first name, birth date, gender, who you’re looking for, bio, interests and photos.
- Approximate location, used to show you people nearby. If you allow location, it’s updated when you open the app and you’ve moved more than a few miles, never in the background. Other people see your city and a distance, never your exact location.
- Activity in the app: likes, passes, profile views, matches and messages.
- Voice messages you record in a chat. The app uses your microphone only while you’re recording one.
- Reports and blocks you make or receive, so we can keep people safe.
- Subscription status from Stripe (paying on the website), the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details.
How we use it
To run the app: show your profile to people who match your preferences, create matches, deliver messages, review photos and reports, and provide paid features. When someone reports a person they matched with, our team reads their conversation to see what happened. We don’t sell your personal information.
We also look at how the app is used, such as how often profiles and photos are shown and crushed on, and how often people write back, to improve the app. These totals are for our team only; other members never see them.
Who we share it with
Other members see the profile details you choose to show. We use service providers to host data (Supabase), handle subscriptions (RevenueCat, Apple and Google), check that sign-ups and sign-ins come from people rather than automated scripts (Cloudflare), check live selfies (Didit) and send notifications. They only process data to provide those services to us.
A member can send your profile to a friend as a link. Anyone with that link sees your first name, age, town and main photo for 30 days, and needs the app to see more. The link stops working if you block the person who sent it, hide or pause your profile, or turn off “Let people send my profile to friends” in Privacy and safety (on Plus and Premium).
Your live selfie
To make sure everyone on Lovuli is a real person, the last step of signing up is a live selfie, checked by our verification partner, Didit. Didit scans your face to check the selfie is of a live person and matches your main photo. That scan is biometric data, so we ask for your consent on that screen first, and it’s used for nothing else. We never receive or keep your selfie or the scan: we keep only that you passed, when, and which main photo it matched. Didit deletes your selfie and the scan as soon as the result reaches us, and within a month at the most. We never sell or share it.
Every photo you add is compared with that main photo (or with your main photo, before your selfie) by Didit, so each of your photos shows you. Group photos are fine as long as you’re in them. Didit keeps nothing from those comparisons. We keep a small copy of the main photo your selfie matched for them, and delete it with your account.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. Messages from a match that has ended, voice messages included, are deleted 6 months after it ended. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, likes, matches and messages are deleted. One exception: conversations from matches that were still going, or that ended in the 30 days before, are kept out of sight until 30 days after the match ended, so the other person can still report you if something went wrong. Then they’re deleted. Reports about safety issues, with the conversation they’re about, may be kept as long as needed to protect other members. The daily totals of how the app is used are kept for 13 months, and deleted with your account.
The launch waitlist
If you leave your email on our website, we keep only that address and when you left it, to email you once when Lovuli launches. To be removed, email [email protected].
Your choices
You can edit your profile, block people and delete your account at any time. See how to delete your account.
You can clear a chat, which removes its messages for you only. The other person still has them, and they’re deleted with your account as described above.
Members can see who viewed their profile in the last 30 days. You can turn off “Show when I view profiles” in Settings: then nobody sees that you viewed them, and you don’t see who viewed you.
When you plan a trip, we keep the city you choose until your trip ends, up to 7 days. People there see you as visiting from your home city, never your exact location.
Your matches see when you’ve read their messages. You can turn off “Read receipts” in Settings: then they don’t see it, and you don’t see theirs.
Age
Lovuli is only for people 18 and older.
